With so many great events happening both at Emerge and in our community, how will you keep track? Use our calendar to help discover all of the resources for parents (and caregivers) that Emerge and the Triangle have to offer.
Emerge hosts a variety of events at the clinic including therapist-led roundtables, parent education classes, resources fairs, and structured play-dates! This calendar will also keep our Emerge families up to date on the start of our social skills groups, and changes in our clinic operating hours.
In addition to what is happing at Emerge, you will also be able to find other activities and resources for parents and caregivers such as resource fairs, sensory-friendly nights, free family events and more!

10:00 am: Building With Baby- A Parent Education Course
October 19, 2019 –
Building with Baby is a parent education course on building your baby's developmental skills and meeting milestones. Join the staff of Emerge Pediatric Therapy to learn all about crucial early developmental milestones and how you can help your baby develop these skills through play and bonding. The workshop will be led by two occupational therapists and will include information, as well as time for hands-on practice, activities, and individual question. "Join us for an afternoon of fun at the farm! We are offering free admission for all special needs guests, families, and chaperones on Thursday, October 24, 2019 from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm. The farm will be closed to the General Public that evening."

The AAC Support Group of the great Raleigh area is hosting an event on October 25th to discuss "Navigating IEPs". The event will be held at New Life Camp- 9927 Falls of Neuse Road in Raleigh.
Topics will include: Public Schools Processes- assistive technology evaluation and implementation, Parent's Rights, AAC Goal Writing, and Team Collaboration. The leaders of this event are Patricia Doyle of Partners in Parental Advocacy and Speech Language Pathologists Jane Bomba and Courtney Smith. Join the Durham Chapter of the Autism Society on Saturday October 26th from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM for a costume festival! There will be plenty of fun, games ,treats, dancing, parent resources, and more! This event will be held at Global Scholars Academy at 311 Dowd Street in Durham.
11:00 am: 3rd Annual CBSG Family Fun Day

Join Central Piedmont Community Action for their 3rd Annual Family Fun Day! This is an outdoor event that will include booths from vendors and clinics in the Durham area. There will be games and activities for children to participate in. All abilities are welcome!
