Preschool Projects – Summer 2020
Developing fine motor skills to support classroom readiness
Ages 3-5 years
Preschool projects is a virtual group, offered over a secure telehealth platform. Your child will enjoy interactive and collaborative learning activities and fine motor projects to help support their skill development and prepare them for a classroom setting. Foundation skills, like grasp, hand strength, motor planning and visual-motor integration are essential to handwriting later on. Preschool projects will provide the opportunity for you and your child to explore fine motor skills together and will provide you with the tools to support them along the way! Materials provided at the start of the group.
- Fine motor skill development
- Improved understanding of sequencing needed to complete pre-academic tasks
- Building an awareness of pre-writing strokes
- Increased capacity for social interactions
When: Thursdays June 18th – August 6th
Time: 3:00-4:00 pm
Total Cost: $100 per session
To register, submit an electronic form.
Children are expected to attend every session (barring illness), as the sessions build on each other and group dynamics are an important component. These services are billed as Occupational and/or Speech Therapy services and many parents receive partial reimbursement from their insurance companies.
If your child is not attending therapy sessions at Emerge, we will be in touch with you to set up a brief free screening to determine if this program is a good match for your child.
